Goodbye to Grammie

Grammie left Monday and after a 4 hour drive to Nairobi, 10 hour wait until her flight, 8.5 hour flight to Amsterdam, 4 hour layover in Amsterdam, 10 hour flight to Seattle, 6 hour layover, and then a 1.5 hour flight to Bend, Oregon, she made it safely home and slept. It's not easy to get here, but we promise it's worth the trip!

What a beautiful picture. I'll bet you are lonesome today. How I would love to come experience your lives but for now I will need to "serve" here in the care taking of my mother.
Have a beautiful, hopeful Spring.
Always praying,

What a wonderful surprise to receive your note.Thank you. I am happy to know that my responses encourage you - that is the intention. I think it wonderful that you take the time when you have it to post glimpses into your life in Kenya- or should I say make the time. I look forward to each one.
You are touching many lives, Friess Family, including mine.
Go Spread the Love, I remain on my knees for you,

Your blog means so much more now having been there to experience Tenwek and your lives. I just want to come right through the internet and give all of you a big hug. What you are doing touched my heart. Dad and I can't wait to return to work at the hospital and see all of you again. The girls are too much fun. Being a Grammie is the best. Tell all hello for me. I met so many nice people. Thanks for having me. Love, Mom Friess
