In my shoe

As my foot entered my shoe I felt something cold and hard... maybe a rock I thought. But then it began to wiggle. "Ahhhh" I pulled out my foot and turned my shoe upside down. Out I shook this not so little (nearly 4 inches long and thicker than my thumb) black and orange centipede? I now know (as I have previously been told by Africans) you must shake out your shoes before you put them on. At least I did not find a snake in my shoe.

DISGUSTING! Hope it wasn't poisonous and glad you shook out your shoe.

Actually, if I remember correctly from my days of daily "shoe shaking", that is a millipede. At any rate, it is better than a scorpion! Love you, Mom
